It is said “good things are worth waiting for” It has taken me a while to get on track and to post some work… I’m hoping you’ll find it’s worth waiting for! As always, I’m fortunate to do the work I love. I get to see old friends, make new ones, and work with wonderful organizations.  I am able to inspire and be inspired, to share and connect, and to help people help themselves. I can’t think of a better… Read more »

By Steven Greenberg Has somebody ever told you to let go? In my journey, I have realized that the most important thing in being free, in being happy, is letting go. That being said it is also the hardest thing to do. We are raised a specific way, and are constantly told to act the way we are supposed to. We place all of these expectations on ourselves and try our best to strive for the ideal. With all of… Read more »

Owen

“Life is full of bumps,”….”the roller coaster of life is bumpy,”…..”the road of life has many twists and turns, ups and downs,” These words describe what happens in life and people say these anecdotes to one another sometimes to try to comprehend “what life has to offer us” or to dismiss the reality of what some people go through and live with on a daily basis. I have been made aware of The Revay family, who have been on this… Read more »

Blinky

by: Sylvie & Binky Binky is 6 ish She was saved from a shelter and would probably not have been noticed by the rescuer if she had 4 legs. She was about one when Jon ( my husband ) and I adopted her. She was scooting on her chest at the time and Jon was determined to build wheels for her. So after a few trials and 4 sets of fancy rigs and the help of Cesar Millan (she was… Read more »

by: Christina Estrada CAFFEINE OVERLOAD!! Can’t Stop Shaking. Heart is POUNDING. Barely feeling like you’re able to breathe or speak. I wish what I’d felt was a caffeine overload. That is the best way I can explain to someone what an anxiety attack feels like, although the symptoms get worse. Trying to get up, but the feeling of almost passing out would overcome my body. The worst thoughts in my head would take over my brain, and I couldn’t help… Read more »

~ written by Steven Strength is such an interesting word. It’s interpreted in so many different ways. When I was a kid, I would probably think of a movie like 300 that I wasn’t supposed to see yet because the Spartans were strong. But I don’t recall asking myself why I thought they were strong. Thinking back on it, the obvious answer was that they can fight an entire army with 300 men, but that isn’t why they were strong…. Read more »

Encourage Courtney

I am not what I have done but what I have overcome Courtney Jones (23) was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in February. Due to an infection in her stomach, the Dr’s had to amputate both her legs in order to save her life. Courtney epitomizes COURAGE. I didn’t know Courtney until her best friend Caroline (a remarkable person herself) called me to ask if I could photograph the first fundraiser she was organizing. Courtney spent 5 months in… Read more »

Disney

Unless you have an annual pass to Disneyland (which I do), most locals end up going when they have out of town visitors. I realized while I was people watching, that despite the fact everyone comes to Disneyland to enjoy different parts of the same experience, it seemed most people were either in their own world or complaining that they were not having as much fun as they should be! It made me wonder how many people truly chose to be there! My son made an… Read more »

“Have a good life” I heard her say.  I was standing in line at the optical department at Costco…uploading to my Instagram, and I looked up to see an older woman speaking to a teenager. “I can help number 10″ an employee said. I was holding the little pink tab numbered 11. Oh great, not too much longer I thought. “You know why I say have a good life?” she asked him. Now I was curious. I love to hear wise… Read more »
